Hobby software from a home lab, written down so I can find it again.

Hi, I'm Auggie. This is where I keep track of things I've been playing with: decoding radio, old tracker music, cameras, drawing robots, pendulums. Some of it is finished and some of it is half an idea. Most of it is on GitHub either way. The radio section is the biggest and the most used.

Nearly all of it was built with Claude as a pair. I pick the problems, argue about the design, test on real hardware and decide what ships. Claude writes much of the code and a good deal of these pages.

1. radio

   If you record your local police and fire radio, this turns the recordings into a live website: every call written out as text, with a search box over all of it. Plus free transcription at home, built for radio.

2. projects

   Public and working. Pictures made of pendulums, a demoscene music browser, a Stream Deck that runs a livestream, a webcam helper for AI assistants, a keyboard shortcut map, mazes and spirographs for a pen plotter.

3. lab

   Working for me, not ready for anyone else. Finding air-traffic radars by listening to planes, a window onto a backyard bird station, a pretend aquarium, and a shelf of smaller things: a radio-dial trawler, a heartbeat radar, a bedside knob and more.

4. patches

   Fixes and features sent to other people's projects: a tracker-music player, the sound engine under it, a bird-call listener, two radio recorders, a 3D map of the planes overhead.
